What work does Genix Group do?
Genix Group has two specialist divisions. The fabrication division creates custom stainless and glass products, including balustrades, handrails, pool fencing and marine applications. The construction division covers low-rise new homes, renovations, bathrooms, decks, carports and related outdoor work.
Which division should I contact?
Contact Rick Mainwaring for stainless, glass and marine fabrication. Contact Nick Mills for new homes, renovations, bathrooms, decks and carports. If the project crosses both areas or you are unsure, choose “Not sure” on the enquiry form and Genix will route it.
Why use marine-grade stainless steel near salt water or pools?
Marine-grade stainless steel—commonly grade 316—contains molybdenum, which improves resistance to chloride pitting compared with standard 304 stainless steel. It still needs suitable detailing and routine cleaning; salt deposits and contaminants can cause tea staining.
What should I send with a quote request?
Send the project address, intended use, photographs, plans or measurements if available, timing, access information and any approval or consultant documents. Clear information helps Genix route and scope the enquiry.
What happens after I enquire?
Genix reviews the project information, routes it to the relevant division and identifies the next useful step. That may be a phone conversation, additional drawings or measurements, a site discussion, or clarification of materials, access and timing before quoting.
Can Genix help with council plans for decks and carports?
Genix can assist with design and submission of plans to council where that service forms part of the agreed scope. Approval responsibilities, consultant input and fees should be identified before construction is scheduled.
Which Australian Standards may apply?
Depending on the product and site, requirements may include the NCC, AS 1288 for glass, AS/NZS 1170.1 for imposed actions and AS 1926.1 for pool barriers. The current edition and project-specific requirements must be confirmed for the actual work.
What are the Genix business hours?
Genix is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturday meetings are available by appointment.
