What Genix does
Genix has supplied Norman R. Wright & Sons since 2004. Verified supplier information records work connected with the Brisbane CityCat fleet and the Lionheart vessel build, including handrails, grab rails, stabiliser arms, davits, masts and full boat fit-outs. That relationship predates the incorporation of Genix Pty Ltd and is stated separately from the company founding date.
Marine exposure makes material selection and detailing especially important. 316 marine-grade stainless contains molybdenum, which improves resistance to chloride pitting compared with 304 stainless steel. It is not immune to staining or corrosion. Salt deposits, stagnant water, crevices, surface contamination and an unsuitable finish can still shorten service life.
Tea staining is a brown surface discolouration that can develop in salt-exposed environments. Sensible grade selection, smooth finishes, good drainage, avoiding contamination during fabrication, freshwater rinsing and a regular cleaning plan all help. The right approach depends on whether the item is on a vessel, pontoon, jetty, riverside property or sheltered internal area.

Photographs can help with an early conversation, but they do not replace measurement, approved drawings or inspection where those are necessary.
The quote or next-step discussion should also identify exclusions, approvals, third-party design or certification, site preparation and anything the owner or head contractor must provide. If conditions change or concealed work is uncovered, the practical response is to document the issue, agree on the adjustment and update the sequence before proceeding. That keeps the scope understandable for both the client and the relevant Genix division.
