Commercial and public settings
Earlier Genix project material identifies the six locations below. The surviving records do not specify the exact fabricated item, installation date or contract scope for each location, so these notes explain the venue context without inventing a Genix deliverable.
Transport terminal
Brisbane Airport operates separate domestic and international passenger terminals with check-in, security, dining and retail areas. It is a demanding public environment where fabricated items must suit heavy daily use, passenger movement and ongoing operations.
Visitor facility
Brisbane City Council locates the visitor centre at the main entrance to Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. It is a gateway to the wider precinct, including the gardens, Queensland Herbarium, forest reserve, walking trails, picnic areas and planetarium.
CBD public space
Cathedral Square is an inner-city public space at 410 Ann Street, opposite St John’s Cathedral. The square is also used for city markets and events, making it a pedestrian-focused setting rather than a private building interior.
CBD retail and public realm
Post Office Square links Adelaide Street and Queen Street in the centre of Brisbane’s commercial district. Its landscaped outdoor square sits above a subterranean retail and service precinct used by office workers, commuters and city visitors.
Community building
Nundah Library is a Brisbane City Council branch at 1 Bage Street. It combines lending and digital services with a public meeting room, accessible facilities, free Wi-Fi and spaces used by the local community.
Retail environments
Earlier Genix material refers to work at some ALDI stores, although the individual locations are not identified in the records available for this site. Supermarkets are high-traffic retail environments shaped by customer circulation, fixtures, service areas and repeatable store standards.
Marine work
Norman R. Wright & Sons is a Brisbane vessel designer and builder with a boatbuilding history of more than 115 years. Its published supplier profile provides more detail about the long-running Genix relationship and the products supplied.
Public passenger vessels
Brisbane City Council currently describes 28 CityCats operating across a 22-terminal network between UQ St Lucia and Northshore Hamilton. Norman R. Wright & Sons separately identifies work on the fleet as a highlight of its relationship with Genix—public-facing marine work seen in daily service around Brisbane.
30.99-metre motor yacht
Norman R. Wright & Sons lists Lion Heart as a timber-composite luxury motor yacht launched in 2008. Its supplier profile describes the vessel as Genix and Nick Mills’ first larger-scale boat-build collaboration with the shipbuilder, with stainless components requiring a high-quality finish.
Across the relationship, the published supplier profile names custom stainless steel and aluminium handrails, grab rails, stabiliser arms, davits and masts, ranging from one-off items to full boat fit-outs.
That is a clearer picture of the work than a row of project names: components are fabricated around the vessel, exposure, finish and installation requirements, then coordinated with an established Brisbane boatbuilder.
